The Rural Innovation Hackathon is set to take place on October 10-11, 2024, at the Haliç Congress Center as part of the Türkiye Innovation Week, organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly. This two-day event aims to tackle the most pressing challenges in rural areas by focusing on innovative solutions in sectors such as agriculture, fishing, sustainable tourism, and bioeconomy.

What is the Rural Innovation Hackathon?

The Rural Innovation Hackathon is a unique opportunity for #entrepreneurs, #innovators, and experts to collaborate and develop solutions that address the specific needs of #rural communities. The event aims to stimulate innovation through collaboration, targeting key sectors vital for sustainable rural development.

Hosted by InnovationGUIDE, a project supported by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, this hackathon brings together members of the Q-helix (public sector, private sector, academia, industry, and NGOs) to work on challenges designed to promote #sustainable growth in rural areas. InnovationGUIDE focuses on empowering rural communities by leveraging digital tools, fostering entrepreneurship, and addressing inter-regional needs through a collaborative, holistic approach.
