Thriving Entrepreneurship: Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism and Bioeconomy in Malta

On May 16, 2024, InnovationGUIDE held a highly successful regional stakeholder event in Paola, Malta, titled “Thriving Entrepreneurship: Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism, and Bioeconomy.” Organized by project partners MCAST and SEAM, the event gathered 25 participants from the Q-Helix, including representatives from key sectors such as MALTAccelerate, Blue EcoTech LTD, Natura Snacks, and the Malta Food Agency.

The sessions featured insightful presentations, including case studies shared by SEAM’s Adriana Frank, highlighting successful rural innovation initiatives. A key moment of the event was the interactive session on rural entrepreneurship, where attendees used the World Bank Ecosystem Model and Mentimeter to identify challenges and opportunities in agriculture, tourism, and bioeconomy.

The event concluded with a networking lunch, fostering valuable connections among stakeholders. The discussions and insights gathered will contribute to shaping future strategies for rural innovation.
